Natasha Beauvais, MD, MPH, didn’t set out to become a concierge medicine advocate. In fact, when her mentor first asked her to take over his concierge practice in 2013, she said no. Coming from a public health background, she worried about putting money between herself and her patients. But when he persisted, telling her, “Natasha, you don’t know what you are missing,” she reluctantly agreed.

That decision changed everything.

Within weeks of switching to the concierge model, Dr. Beauvais experienced something she’d never felt in traditional medicine: the ability to actually practice medicine the way she’d always envisioned. She could collaborate with specialists, thoroughly explain treatment plans, and build genuine connections with patients. For the first time, she had the time and space to provide truly comprehensive care.  She also recognized the unique stability of the concierge medicine financial model as the way to allow for some flexibility and creativity in medicine.  

Today, as CEO of Northern Virginia Family Practice and founder of Concierge Medicine Academy, Dr. Beauvais has spent 11 years transforming that initial revelation into a thriving multi-location practice serving over 2,500 patients with nine providers, generating nearly $8 million annually with consistent double-digit growth. But her real expertise goes beyond clinical success. She has navigated complex practice acquisitions, purchasing her practice in stages (2014 and 2022), acquiring a retiring physician’s practice to open a second location, and successfully guiding two physicians through retirement transitions while maintaining practice continuity.

Her M&A experience is rare among physicians, giving Dr. Beauvais unique insight into the financial and operational mechanics that most doctors never learn in medical training. Her expertise in team building, marketing, financial systems, bank loan optimization, and EOS operating systems comes from 11 years of real-world trial, error, and ultimate success. The results speak for themselves: multiple Top Doctor awards from Washingtonian, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Arlingtonian Magazine from 2019 through 2025 and the coveted “Best Places to Work” designation in 2025. 

Through Concierge Medicine Academy, Dr. Beauvais now helps specialty physicians, including rheumatologists, build what she calls “Radically Healthy Healthcare” practices. Her contrarian belief challenges the industry’s trajectory: healthcare practices should be owned by the people who provide the care, not by investment companies. In a $6 billion concierge medicine industry increasingly dominated by corporate consolidation, she empowers physicians to reclaim ownership of their practices and their professional lives.

What makes her approach different isn’t just business strategy. It’s her core philosophy that the health of the medical team matters just as much as the health of patients. Dr. Beauvais earned her BA from Yale University and her MD and MPH from the University of Connecticut, completing her Family Medicine residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York. A mother of four who has navigated profound personal challenges, including her daughter’s amputation four years ago, Dr. Beauvais brings both professional expertise and hard-won personal wisdom to her work. In her limited spare time, she rows crew with her alumni club and is getting back in shape after a decade focused on raising her children.
